Comic Con '09 - SATURDAY Plan of Attack

Before I head to get back in the line for Saturday's LOST panel that already started earlier this (Friday) evening, I should probably post the tentative plan for the rest of the day. Should be easy enough, as everything I want to see after LOST is once again in the same room. Oh and did I mention I've already seen Damon and Carlton tonight? They stopped by the line to say hi to the fans after the EW Visionaries panel. Some lucky peeps even got their photos taken. That was mighty sweet of them to give us some time. :)

Im a little bit sad that Im going to miss the Chuck panel this time, but oh well...we know what the priority is here. Also I am realizing if there is a panel AND a signing, you cannot possibly do both. I think I shall choose the panels, as they are entertaining and you get to see and hear special things that no one else is privy to yet. (that is, until the footage is posted on youTube...lol)

Comic Con '09 - THURSDAY Plan of Attack

Comic Con finally released the official schedule of events this past week, so to start off the festivities I'm going to highlight the panels and signings I plan on hitting while I'm there. Of course, just like last year, many of the events I want to attend overlap each other.

Also, notice all the bouncing between Hall H and Ballroom 20, the two large rooms there. They sit on opposite ends of the convention center, and when you are there feel like they are 20 miles apart. First rule of Comic Con is: you can't do everything.

Doesn't mean I still won't give it my best though. :)

Here is my list for Wednesday and Thursday. (** are MUST SEE'S while the grayed-out events are the ones I will more than likely not make it to due to overlap.)

Wednesday 07.23 Preview Night

6:00-9:00 Special Sneak Peek Pilot Screenings: Human Target, V, and The Vampire Diaries
Ballroom 20

Thursday 07.24

12:30-2:00 Autograph - Dexter / Jennifer Carpenter **
Entertainment Earth booth 2343

1:15-2:15 Entertainment Weekly: Wonder Women: Female Power Icons in Pop Culture
(with Sigourney Weaver, Elizabeth Mitchell, and Zoe Saldana)
Ballroom 20

2:45-3:45 Autograph - V / Elizabeth Mitchell

3:00-4:15 20th Century Fox and James Cameron present Avatar **

Comic Con 2009 - Meet Up with 4TF!

Hey Everyone!

I know it's been awhile. I've been busy moving my entire life and business across several states, but now it's FINALLY time to hunker down once more for the annual San Diego nerd pilgrimage otherwise known as Comic Con. Many of you remember that last year the Four Toed Foot was there bringing you the scoop with photos, video, and loads of general geeking out. Well we're headed back again for the 40th anniversary and the final LOST panel EVER (sniff)! This is actually the one time a year where the usual focus on all things LOST is broadened a bit, and this year shall be no different.

Most of you know the Glory that is the Exhibit Hall floor, whether you have been there yourself or have witnessed the mayhem on coverage from channels such as G4 or FEAR.net. You HAVE to go for the studio swag (free promotional stuff) and being a serious collector makes it even more of an imperative. I pack an extra suitcase just to bring my swag back home in. In fact, my friend Gwen and I even were interviewed about our giant sacks of loot by FEAR.net last year...I know that I was carrying at least a good 8-10 pounds just that one day. (I plan to do even better this year...teehee....)

However, the other half of the event are the PANELS populated by the movie and TV industry's hottest and shiniest playthings. I'll be posting a schedule shortly but I wanted to give a heads up to any readers who might also be heading to SDCC this year. Just like last year we'll be meeting up with The ODI and the crew who is helping out with LIVE blogging for Dark UFO and Spoiler TV. Please contact me at annanaranja@fourtoedfoot.com if you would also like to join us!

I'll be back soon with more details and the scoop on Comic Con 2009!!!!
